For of war - opponent team revealed location

In a fog-of-war game, one opponent team revealed our location to the other team and claims it's allowed. Is it? What's the point of fog-of-war then?

It is definitely allowed.
Some people think it's bad manners indeed and dont do it. But it's up to you according to the rules.
Point of fog even if it's allowed.
1) no one know exactly everything even if some location are revealed.
-> for example you can hide troops somewhere behind.
2) feel free to lie
