The six months of vacation for this map has expired and this map will now be labeled as [Abandoned]. If the original mapmaker wants to continue this map project that's fine but an update must provided. From this moment anyone else is free to take this project without the original mapmakers permission, but it has to be started from scratch.

yes, these are the latest files.
not sure if any changes have happened to the way xml works and if zimmah's old file is still valid.
i've already PMed zimmah about my return and about resuming work on these maps so i assume when he reads it he'll come and clear things on the xml side.

This is a pretty straightforward map, i think there should be no problems with it.

I uploaded this map to the beta site and it went fine. I played a bot game on it just to test it out to make sure it is working properly. I've already requested you to be added to the group to test the map.

i have read the announcement about the testing site but i honestly have no idea how this works or where do i have to go to test it.

but at least the map is working fine so that's good news. :D

Essentially, there's a "dummy" CC site that lets us play the maps before they are placed live. This helps find any XML issues or gameplay issues before hitting the real world.

I've already sent a PM to IcePack to let you and zimmah into the usergroup that gives you access to this site. I'm sure he will send you a PM explaining what to do. In fact, there's really nothing to do...it's just access to a secret forum.

the only issue I have seen so far is that the Kysuce small coordinates are a bit off.

lol, i'll see if i can fix that over the weekend. I'm at school all day tomorrow and i'm off to bed now.

I guess the territory label was moved some time and i forgot to update the XML accordingly.

In fact I think the Bratislava Airport and Bratislava itself are not exactly underneath each other either (off by 1 or 2 pixels). I'll fix that too. It's pretty distracting.

1.1 XML updates
Moved Kysuce on the small map 10 pixels to the left and 4 to the top.
Moved Bratislava airport on the small map 2 pixels to the right.
Changed the neutral at Stredné Považie and Dolný Zemplín from 2 to 3 (for some reason they were both 2)

Dim, posting it here as this is the smallest map you brought back, but can you have a think of any restrictions you might want to make on these maps. We can now block any setting from being played on a map. So if you want only doubles, no nuclear spoils or can only be played with by 4 people, please post what you would like in the maps thread. As long as you have a good enough reason for it to happen, you should get it.

i'm aware of the exclusions, which is a great new feature, but for this map i don't need anything like that. maybe for my other maps.

that's because we stamped the gameplay with n2 neutrals on both. bratislava has n3 neutrals because it's a single-region bonus.

ah right, i'll change them back then.

To be honest after playing some games on the map i think i prefer the 2's anyway, the 3's make a pretty big blockade on a map this small, breaking them is pretty costly.

          Beta - Quenching

---The development period has concluded for the Slovakia Map. All objections have had their time. The Foundry and I hereby brand this map with the Foundry Beta Brand. Let it be known that this map is now ready for BETA Play. After an extended period of time in BETA and once all quirks and issues have been resolved, the map will be put into Full Play (barring any Admins or Foundry Foreman vetoes).

While the map is in BETA Play, there are a couple of administrative tasks that are required of the mapmaker(s) in addition to the initial gameplay testing:
    1. Please ensure that the first post of the thread contains all the necessary information to help future visitors to the development thread; it's particularly important to ensure the most recent images are there, along with any helpful guides (such as gameplay quirks/nuances or the location/size of any starting neutrals etc.)
    2. It is the responsibility of the mapmaker(s) to ensure that they respond to further feedback in a timely and constructive manner.
    3. Write a "creative" map description and send it to the Foundry Foreman via PM. You're encouraged to post it into the first post of the thread as well; the description will be used to populate the maps database.
