Top two in each conference get a first-round bye.
3s vs. 6s and 4s vs. 5s in the first round.
All playoff series will be best-of-three format.

When you say best-of-3 in the playoffs... does that mean best-of-3 (8) game sets?

Yes exactly. One game = an 8-map set like we've been playing.
