Beaverton kicks 3 field goals to get past Grant 16-7 in a season-opening result that saw numerous long-play maps, including Texan Wars that hit the 20-round limit.

Sherwood scores a 23-17 win over North Medford in the first overtime game of the season. Still one Week 1 game wrapping up, and I'll try to get Week 2s into finals here shortly, while getting Week 3 tabulations started.

Also in Week 2, Barlow scores a 27-19 win over Canby. Bruins QB went 14-for-23 for 195 yards and a touchdown -- a 62-yard touchdown strike to WR2 to push Barlow into the lead early in the second half.

Franklin's defense keeps North Medford out of the end zone until the final minutes of the game to take a 24-13 win. RB1 gains 53 yards and scores twice, while WR1 had six catches for 83 yards for the Lightning.

Another Week 2 Final. Summit comes back to beat Bend with three second-half touchdowns.

The Lava Bears put up a pair of early field goals, but Summit grabbed the lead shortly before halftime on a short TD pass to their tight end.

Summit's RB2 finished with 7 carries for 47 yards and a touchdown, but it was the Storm's defense that stole the show. The Storm came up with 4 sacks, an interception and eight tackles behind the line of scrimmage. Bend was just 1-for-11 (.091) on third down.

Jesuit's QB goes 13-for-18 for 126 yards and three touchdowns as the Crusaders score a 30-0 shutout win over Tigard.

Lakeridge scores four second half touchdowns to beat Franklin 38-17 in the last of the Game 1 matches to go final. Pacers QB finished 13 for 17 passing for 192 yards with WR2 doing most of the damage with five catches for 118 yards, highlighted by a 91-yard scoring strike in the third quarter.

Central Catholic and Sherwood are locked up in a good one in Week 2 with the Bowmen sitting on a 1st-and-goal with a chance to make it a one score game once again. Lots of offense and big plays in this one.

Grant High gets into the win column with a back-and-forth 23-20 win over South Salem.

The Generals raced out to an early 16-0 lead before the Saxons put together a two-minute drill to put a field goal on the board as the first-half expired.

South Salem won six maps in a row during the middle stages of the game and held a 20-16 lead after booting another field goal early in the fourth quarter.

Grant put on a comeback by winning the final three maps with WR2 hauling in the winning 17-yard touchdown pass with seven minutes left. After making a defensive stop, the Generals picked up a pair of first downs and were able to run out the clock.

We've got Gresham and Polk battling to the final horn in Week 2.

The Gophers lead 23-17 and just crossed midfield attempting to run out the clock with less than two minutes on the clock. But Polk still has two timeouts and is trying to get the ball back.

The first final in Week 3 with Canby rallying for a 23-20 overtime win over Beaverton.
The Cougars won four straight maps down the stretch to spark the comeback.
A 13-yard touchdown run AND a 2-point conversion catch with 0:55 left sent the game to overtime.
Canby closed it out with an interception to stop Beaverton on it's first OT possession before booting a long field goal to win it.

Barlow gets a 79-yard punt return to take a 7-3 lead over Tigard late in the first half in a defensive standoff that has moved halfway through the third quarter.

Another wild finish in Tigard's 10-7 win over Barlow, getting the winning touchdown on a short touchdown run by RB2 with 0:23 to play.

Barlow was clinging to a 7-3 lead late in the game, draining the clock with a 5-minute drive before being forced to punt.
Tigard took possession and went into two-minute mode, driving 87 yards in 9 plays for the win.

The Bruins did pick up a late first down, but the clock hit zeroes before they could reach midfield.

Our final Week 2 game is in the books with Gresham holding off Polk 23-17.
The Gophers picked up a couple late first downs to drain time off the clock, and Polk didn't get a final possession until the final seconds of play and could not muster a challenge on its last few plays.

And Gresham rides a quick start with wins on the first four maps to take a 21-0 halftime lead on its way to a 24-13 win over Franklin in Week 3.

Forest Grove hits three field goals, including a long from 39-yards out to beat North Medford 23-17 in the Week 3 set.

The Vikings missed an attempt down the stretch that opened the door for a North Medford comeback. The Black Tornado almost reached midfield before a pair of incompletions sent a wrench into the plans and they were tackled short of the line on fourth down.

Lake ridge beats Sherwood 27-3 in a Week 3 matchup, clinching the victory with a 62-yard interception return late in the third quarter.

The Game 3 set is all final...

Central Catholic wins 6 of the final 7 maps to put on a 4th quarter comeback to beat Jesuit 19-13. A 21-yard interception return late in the third quarter set up the winning touchdown run and the late rally. Rams RB1 gained 52 yards and scored both of the team's touchdowns.

The teams combined to convert an impressive 12 of 19 third downs.

And Polk High moved to the top of its division with a 14-6 win over Grant in a defensive showdown. WR2 hauled in a 14-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter that pushed the Panthers into a 14-0 lead, and Grant's pair of second half scoring drives both ended in field goals. Polk RB1 finished with 79 yards rushing, including a 13-yarder for a first down late in the game that allowed the Panthers to run out the clock.
